We are often bombarded with promises of “quick” and “easy” weight loss. None of them work, right?
I was at a trade show recently and the line for one booth was around the corner – and it was the ONLY booth that had a line. These women were screaming about these body wraps and the sales lady couldn’t keep up with them.
Of course, I had to try them.
The It Works! Ultimate Body Applicator is hyped as an all-natural, antioxidant-rich way to detoxify your body and rid it of fat and cellulite. The women I met at the sales booth had lost inches in days and gone down multiple sizes. Still, I wondered if this was just another gimmick.
Let me preface this by saying that I’m a size 8 to 10, so I don’t have inches and inches to lose. Obviously, the bigger you are, the more you’ll lose. I applied the wraps to my thighs and left them on for 3 hours. (It’s recommended that you leave them on for at least 45 minutes.) I took them off and measured – no difference.
“Of course,” I thought, “Another weight loss gimmick.”
Then I watched the instructional video and saw that it’s possible to have what’s called “toxic bloat” after an application. Apparently, if this is the case, you won’t lose inches for a few days, until the toxins flush out of your system. Suurrre.
The next day, I remembered mid-morning to measure and…
I HAD LOST 3/4 OF AN INCH ON EACH THIGH!!!
The body wraps actually worked! I’d even measured after I worked out, so I was a bit swollen. I did a little research and discovered that there are all kinds of new, natural ingredients and technologies being developed to flush fat and cellulite from our bodies.
- Use each applicator only once (discard after use.)
- Simply open the package, unfold the wrap and then apply to your body.
- You can either wrap saran wrap or bandages over the applicator or put on tight clothing to hold it in place.
- Each wrap was approximately a foot and a half long and at least a foot wide.
- Don’t apply another wrap on the same area for 72 hours.
