If you are wondering what steps are a necessity and which are optional, you can include this in the “optional”. You don’t HAVE to tone everyday, but if you do, your skin will be cleaner and clearer.
For some basic information about toners, including what toners are made of, what’s good for your skin, and whether or not they’re worth the time and energy, check out our post Facial Toners: Are They Necessary? .
Toners are meant to balance the skin and prep it before you apply other products. They remove more dirt than cleanser alone, so if you’re not too tired, use it. The one thing we recommend you look for when you’re considering a toner is whether or not alcohol is an ingredient. Alcohol dries out your skin.
Dr. Denese Pore Refining Neck & Face Toner doesn’t contain alcohol. This Denese skin product is infused with CoQ10, Vitamins A, E and D, aloe, rosehip, and citrus extract, all of which have anti-aging properties. This toner smells very nice and isn’t that expensive – $19.
After cleansing, apply Dr. Denese Pore Refining Neck & Face Toner on a cotton swab and apply to my face and neck. It cleans the skin very well and is suitable for normal, oily and combination skin. If you’re looking for a toner, this is a great one to try.
